Pamela Baumann, MSc

Associated Researcher

Pamela´s general research interests include microbial interactions, microbial diversity, and their roles for ecology. She is especially fascinated by the versality of microbe-microbe interactions and their role in different biological systems, in particular in plants and the ambrosia- and bark beetle symbiosis. As a researcher, she aims to contribute to the understanding of these complex systems as a crucial starting point for scientific applications, e.g. in sustainable agriculture.

Based on her Bachelor thesis, where she investigated the bacterial induction of asexual fruiting in ambrosia fungi, she is currently using chemical and molecular biological methods to uncover the mechanism behind this compelling interaction.
